This vegetarian Serbian strudel combines soy flakes, spinach, and fresh cheese in a thin and crispy dough. It is served warm.

Directions

  1. Soak the soy flakes or boil them in salted water, then drain them.
  2. Wash, rinse, and finely chop the spinach. ≈ 8 min
  3. Add the drained soybeans, spinach, cheese, cream, and salt to a bowl, and mix well. ≈ 4 min
  4. Spread the filling evenly over the pastry sheets, then brush them with a little oil paint, and roll them up. ≈ 10 min
  5. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake at 220 °C until they are golden brown.
  6. Serve hot. ≈ 2 min
