Čorbanac is a slow-cooked dish originating from Slavonia, similar to paprikash or goulash. It combines onions, various meats, tomatoes, and paprika.

Directions

  1. Chop the onions (or you can blend them), and cut the meat into small pieces. Then, put everything in a pot and cover with water. ≈ 8 min
  2. Cook until the meat is tender, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on the heat level.
  3. Prepare the mixture of 500ml of cooked tomatoes, the seasoning packet, paprika, and pepper, and then add it to the pot. ≈ 2 min
  4. Let it continue to cook for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. For a spicier dish, serve with hot peppers or add pepper during cooking.

  • 10 medium-sized onions
  • 2 kg of meat (preferably of various types)
  • 500 ml of cooked tomatoes (puréed)
  • 1 packet of seasoning for fish soup
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons of ground red paprika
  • pepper, to your liking
  • water, to cover
