Directions
- Peel the lemons with a knife, removing the white membrane as well, and cut the fruit into slices. ≈ 8 min
- Wash the strawberries, drain them, dry them, and cut them into small pieces. ≈ 8 min
- Measure them together using lemon slices, to obtain a total of 1 kg. ≈ 3 min
- Place the fruits in a pot. ≈ 3 min
- Thoroughly mix the sugar with the gelatin extract, and then add it to the fruit mixture. ≈ 4 min
- Cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
- Continue to stir for at least 3 minutes, then remove the pot from the heat.
- Depending on your preferences, remove the foam, and if you wish, add rum. ≈ 3 min
- Immediately fill the containers to the brim, close them with the lids, turn them upside down, and leave them like that for about 5 minutes.
- If you want a thicker consistency for your jam, add one package of pectin to the hot jam, mix well, and then check the gelling process again.
