Directions
- Rinse the salt pork under cold water and then fry it in a 10-liter (40-cup) pot.
- Add the onions and cook until they are translucent.
- Add the potatoes, carrots, broth, and spices, and cook for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste, tomato soup, tomatoes, corn, beans, and peas. ≈ 3 min
- Simmer for 2 hours, and then add the fish fillets (some people prefer to place the fillets in a cheesecloth bag before adding them to the pot).
- Cook for 15 minutes.
- A dish featuring fried perch fillets, sliced Spanish onions, crusty bread, and a good wine. ≈ 2 min
