Peanut nougat
A crunchy candy: a blend of blond caramel, toasted peanuts, butter, and vanilla, spread thinly and then cut into pieces once it has cooled.
This Filipino treat is a crunchy caramel made with roasted peanuts. You need to work quickly, as the caramel hardens as it cools.

Directions
- Grease a large work surface and a rolling pin, then set them aside. ≈ 4 min
- Melt the sugar in a pan.
- Turn off the heat, then add the bicarbonate and the peanut butter. ≈ 3 min
- Mix thoroughly. ≈ 4 min
- Add the butter and vanilla. ≈ 4 min
- Pour servir, pour the mixture onto a buttered work surface. ≈ 3 min
- Roll the dough over the still-warm preparation until it is thin. ≈ 3 min
- Cut to the desired size. ≈ 8 min
- Let it cool completely, then store it in jars.
