Directions
- Wash the peaches, peel them, and remove the pits (save five). ≈ 8 min
- Cut the peaches into large chunks and pour them into a suitable-sized jar. ≈ 8 min
- Add the sugar and the pits, then let it simmer for 1 hour over low heat.
- Occasionally, scrape off any foam that may have formed. ≈ 3 min
- Blend the fruits in a blender, or strain them once they have cooled.
- Continue cooking for another half hour, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches a desirable consistency. ≈ 3 min
- Depending on your preference, you can add a little sugar or lemon juice. ≈ 3 min
- Pourster the hot jam into jars and turn them upside down until they are completely cool.
