Directions
- Heat some oil in a pan and gently fry the shredded chicken until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same oil paint, return to the chopped onions with parsley, cumin, and turmeric.
- Add the broth and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the pan with the almonds, mix well, and let it cool.
- Refrigerate the filling for a full night to allow it to firm up.
- Grease a pan or baking dish and line the bottom with several sheets of filo pastry. ≈ 3 min
- Spread the filling evenly over the dough. ≈ 3 min
- Cover with the remaining filo leaves and seal the edges. ≈ 3 min
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 30 minutes, or until the surface is golden brown.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon before serving. ≈ 2 min
