Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a pot and add the tangerines so that they can soften.
  2. Remove the tangerines from the water and leave them to dry on an absorbent dishcloth. ≈ 3 min
  3. Peel the tangerines and place them in a blender or food processor to coarsely chop them. ≈ 8 min
  4. Combine the tangerine paste with the powdered sugar in a large bowl. Add the lemon juice (if using) to achieve a smooth consistency. ≈ 4 min
  5. Incorporate the egg whites (if using) by gently beating until the mixture is smooth and no longer falls. ≈ 4 min
  6. Shape the marzipan into balls and let them rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Smooth the marzipan balls between your hands to achieve a smooth and uniform consistency. ≈ 10 min
