Directions
- Add the olive oil and garlic to the pan.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the garlic until it is tender and lightly golden (be careful not to burn the garlic, as it will become bitter).
- Add tomato puree and water. ≈ 3 min
- Add basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. ≈ 3 min
- Let it simmer and reduce the heat.
- Let the sauce simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for about 20 to 30 minutes, until it thickens.
