Directions
- Preheat the oven to 150 °C.
- Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gradually add the sugar and continue whipping until you have a firm meringue. ≈ 10 min
- Defeat the yellow with oil paint and lemon zest, then incorporate this mixture into the whites by gently folding it in. ≈ 4 min
- Sprinkle the flour and yeast over the dough and gently incorporate them using a wooden spoon. ≈ 4 min
- Chop the chocolate into small pieces using a large knife and add it to the dough. ≈ 8 min
- Pour this into a 22 cm round mold and bake for approximately 50 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick, remove the cake from the oven, and let it cool.
- Sprinkle with shredded coconut. ≈ 2 min
