Directions
- Marinate the fish with salt, pepper, sugar, fish sauce, chopped garlic, and ginger for a few minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
- Add a few mint leaves to the cavity of the fish. ≈ 3 min
- Arrange the sugarcane stalks in a dish, then place the fish on top. ≈ 3 min
- Layer a layer of sugar cane, then a layer of fish, and finally another layer of sugar cane. ≈ 3 min

- The water is boiling, so place the dish containing the fish in the boiling water to steam it.
- Release the steam periodically.
- To check if a fish is cooked, try inserting a toothpick or needle into it. ≈ 3 min
