Directions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and onion. ≈ 2 min
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and thoroughly coat the chicken with it.
- Add the wine and oregano, reduce the heat, and simmer gently until the meat is tender.
- Separate the chicken from the cooking juices and keep the chicken warm. Reserve the juices. ≈ 2 min
- In a separate pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, add the flour, stirring with a wooden spoon over low heat, and allow to thicken slightly.
- Pour the approximately 1 cup (240 ml) of reserved cooking liquid into the sauce. ≈ 3 min
- Add the cream and remove from the heat. ≈ 3 min
- Place the chicken in an oven-safe dish, cover with sauce, and sprinkle with grated cheese. ≈ 3 min
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes to heat through and serve immediately.
