“Cake goop,” also known as “cake mold lubricant,” is an alternative to butter and flour for greasing and flouring cake molds. It is particularly useful for Bundt-shaped molds and other complex shapes.

Directions

  1. Mix the oil paint and the butter. ≈ 4 min
  2. You can use a spoon, a whisk, or an electric hand mixer. ≈ 3 min
  3. Add the flour and mix until a nearly smooth consistency is achieved. ≈ 4 min
  4. Don’t worry about trying to remove every little clump. ≈ 3 min
  5. When the recipe instructs you to grease and flour the cake pan, or to spray it with a cooking spray containing flour, it is better to use a brush to apply a thin layer of cake batter to the bottom and sides of the pan.
  6. If the pan has intricate details, make sure the dough has penetrated all the nooks and crannies.
  7. Next, pour into the cake pan and bake as usual.
