Date syrup
Homemade date syrup, made by blending dates with their cooking water, filtering, and then reducing until it reaches the consistency of honey.
This syrup is made in two steps: the dates are cooked for one hour in water, then blended and filtered, and finally the liquid is reduced until it has the consistency of honey. It can be used to make a date-based drink.

Directions
- Heat the water in a pot.
- Place the dates, including the pits, in the hot water. ≈ 3 min
- Combine everything in a blender. ≈ 4 min
- Place the vegetables in a pot and bring to a boil for 1 hour.
- Let it cool.
- Filter to remove the solid particles. ≈ 3 min
- Reheat the liquid again, until it reaches a consistency similar to honey.
