Directions
- In a mug, combine 2 tablespoons of rum with the chocolate chips and let them soak.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, whipped cream, vanilla extract, the remaining rum, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. ≈ 4 min
- Slice the bread, remove the crusts, and cut it into thirds. Divide each slice into three pieces. ≈ 8 min
- Grease a bread pan. ≈ 3 min
- Peel the bananas, cut them in half lengthwise, and then cut each half in half widthwise. ≈ 8 min
- In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the banana pieces with the remaining sugar. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip the bananas and cook the other side for another 2 minutes.
- Line the bottom of the bread pan with one-third of the bread slices. ≈ 3 min
- Divide the remaining banana slices evenly over the layer of bread slices. ≈ 3 min
- Divide the chocolate chips evenly over the banana. ≈ 3 min
- Add another layer of bread slices. ≈ 3 min
- Pour the half of the egg mixture into the bread pan and let it absorb for a minute. ≈ 3 min
- Add the remaining banana, then the remaining chocolate chips, then the remaining bread slices. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the top. ≈ 3 min
- Allow the bread dough to rest for about 15 minutes while you preheat the oven.
- Bake in the oven for 50 minutes. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
