- Carefully unfold the phyllo leaves. Cover them with a clean, damp cloth to prevent them from drying out. ≈ 2 min
- Cut the phyllo dough into three equal pieces lengthwise. ≈ 8 min
- Brush the phyllo dough with melted butter. Place a generous spoonful of filling at one end of the dough. ≈ 4 min
- Fold the lower right corner upwards, above the filling, to create a triangle. ≈ 3 min
- Now, fold the top right corner down to the left. ≈ 3 min
- Continue to fold in this manner until you reach the end of the strip. ≈ 3 min
- Trim all excess dough and seal the edges by moistening a finger and pressing along the edge of the triangle where the strip ends. ≈ 8 min
- Fry in oil at 170 °C until golden brown. Alternatively, bake at 175 °C for 15 minutes.
