Banana pudding with coconut milk
An Indonesian pudding made with agar-agar, coconut milk, and sweetened condensed milk, topped with soft, sweet mulberry bananas – a perfect dessert.

Directions
- Mix the agar-agar, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl. ≈ 4 min
- Pour a small amount of water and stir until the cornstarch is completely dissolved, without any lumps. Add the remaining water, coconut milk, condensed milk, and salt, and mix well. ≈ 4 min
- Turn the heat to medium and cook the mixture, stirring gently, until it simmers. Turn off the heat.
- Add the sliced bananas to the hot mixture and stir. ≈ 4 min
- Moisten a baking dish with a little water to make it easier to unmold. Pour in the mixture and smooth the surface. Let it cool until the steam disappears, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until the pudding has set.
- Cut the pudding to your desired thickness. ≈ 8 min
