Directions
- Pour in the flour into a bowl and sift it. ≈ 2 min
- Mix the yeast with 1 teaspoon of caramelized sugar and milk.
- Make a well in the flour, add the yeast, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Melt 125g of butter in a saucepan.
- Add 50g of caramelized sugar, salt, lemon zest, egg, and melted butter.
- Mix the ingredients together until a smooth dough forms. ≈ 4 min
- Cover the dough with a clean dishcloth and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
- Spread a lightly oiled pastry dough on a clean surface, then make several holes with a fork. ≈ 4 min
- Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Use your finger to create indentations, approximately 2 cm apart, in the dough. ≈ 3 min
- Divide the butter into small pieces and place them in the indentations. ≈ 3 min
- Then, sprinkle with caramel and cinnamon. ≈ 2 min
- Sprinkle the chopped almonds evenly over the top. ≈ 3 min
- Preheat the oven (using top/bottom heat).
- Bake the cake for approximately 25 minutes.
- Let it cool, then cut into small cubes.
