Alsatian apple tart
Alsatian apple tart: thin apple slices on shortcrust pastry, topped with eggs, cream and sugar, baked for 30 minutes.
“When Axelle gets bored, Axelle cooks: apple tart, ladyfingers!” An Alsatian-style apple tart, with apple slices set in a golden custard.
The apples are cut into thin slices and arranged on the pastry, then covered with a mixture of eggs, crème fraîche and sugar. Thirty minutes in the oven, and the custard takes on a lovely caramel color.
It’s Marmiton’s top-rated apple tart, with more than a thousand reviews.
