Directions

  1. 5 cups of refined sugar (approximately 150 grams) ≈ 3 min
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a blender. ≈ 4 min
  3. Combine the starter and walnuts using a wooden spoon. ≈ 4 min
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and place in a baking dish that has been greased and floured.
  5. To check if the fish is cooked, insert a toothpick. ≈ 3 min
  6. If the fish is cooked through, it will be opaque. ≈ 3 min
  7. Remove from the oven, let cool, cut into squares, and serve cold, alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Before you start

  • 2 1/2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon (approximately 15 ml) of dry yeast (Royal yeast)
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts
  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
  • Mix the sourdough and walnuts together using a wooden spoon.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and place in a baking dish that has been greased and floured.
  • To check if the fish is cooked, insert a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the fish is done.
  • Once out of the oven, let it cool, cut into squares, and serve cold, alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • This is a delicate dessert, and it yields approximately 28 servings.
  • Tip: Can be frozen for up to 90 days.
