Directions
- Finely crush the tempeh. ≈ 4 min
- Prepare the spice paste: mix together the Allium ascalonicum, Allium sativum, chili peppers, ginger, leaves of the kencur, and salt. ≈ 4 min
- Mix the spice paste with the crushed tempeh until you have a smooth mixture, then add the broth and mix again. The broth (chicken or beef) is optional, but it enhances the flavor of the mendol.
- Shape the meatballs into oval shapes and fry them until they are golden brown, then drain them.
