Syrian lentil balls
Meatless meatballs made with red lentils, bulgur, and caramelized onions, wrapped in hemp seeds: a Syrian recipe.
These lentil meatballs, known as “kyufta,” are made without meat by Armenians in Syria and other Syrians. The cooked red lentils, bulgur, and fried onions create a mixture that is easy to roll, coated in hemp seeds.
