Directions
- First, prepare the bell pepper cream: chop the onion and sauté it in a frying pan. After about 10 minutes, add the bell peppers and cook for another 5 minutes. Pour in the cream, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 15 minutes. Set aside.
- Remove the skin from the sausage with a knife. With the meat, form small meatballs by hand. Set aside. ≈ 10 min
- Combine the prepared bell pepper cream. In a bowl, add a few tablespoons of tempura flour and gradually add cold water, stirring until a batter forms that is not too thin, following the instructions on the package. ≈ 4 min
- Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan. Dip the patties in the tempura batter, then drop them into the hot oil. They will first puff up, then turn golden brown. Drain them on paper towels.
- Arrange the meatballs on a plate with the bell pepper cream alongside. This recipe is perfect for making pintxos. ≈ 2 min
