Preparation
- Harvest the fully ripe hot peppers and process them immediately to prevent spoilage. ≈ 3 min
- Remove any parts damaged by mold, green fruits, and stems. ≈ 3 min
- Wash them under running water, then soak them for one minute in boiling water.
- Then, immerse them in the ice-cold water. ≈ 3 min
- Make sure to thoroughly dry the hot peppers before placing them in a jar. ≈ 3 min
Conservation of the cachaza
- For each half-litre of hot peppers, add 1 tablespoon of salt. Fill the jar with the peppers and salt, then pour in the cachaça until it completely covers everything. ≈ 10 min
Grain alcohol preservation
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt per half-litre of hot peppers. Fill the jar with the hot peppers and salt, add 50% water, and completely cover the hot peppers with alcohol. ≈ 10 min
Oil painting conservation
- Place the selected hot peppers in the jar and pour oil paint over them until they are completely covered. ≈ 3 min
