Directions
- Prepare the dough: mix the milk, water, yogurt, yeast, salt, and sugar, then add the flour until a soft dough forms. Knead. ≈ 10 min
- Divide the dough in half. Roll out one half to fit the baking dish, brush with oil, and fold it in half. Repeat with the other half. Let it rest.
- While you’re doing that, return the ground beef to the pan and cook until the juices have evaporated.
- Add the chopped onions and peppers, then, after 4-5 minutes, add the peeled and chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5-6 minutes, then let it cool.
- Grease a baking dish. Spread out the first layer of dough with a rolling pin, place it in the dish, and distribute the filling evenly. ≈ 4 min
- Spread out the second layer and place it on top. ≈ 4 min
- Whisk the egg yolk with a little oil paint and brush it onto the surface. Cut into portions with a knife. ≈ 8 min
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C until the top and bottom are golden brown.
