Directions
- Bring the water, salt, powdered sugar, and butter to a boil. Remove from the heat and stir in the flour and cornstarch. Return to the heat and mix continuously until the mixture thickens. Immediately add one egg and mix vigorously. Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the remaining eggs one at a time.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 180 °C. Using two coffee spoons (immersing them in the hot oil regularly), form small balls of dough and fry them in the hot oil for about 3 minutes, until they are golden brown.
- Remove the doughnuts using a skimmer and drain them on absorbent paper. Coat them with sugar while still warm and serve immediately. ≈ 2 min
