Directions
- Combine the flour, sugar, turmeric, and curry powder. Gradually incorporate the butter and vegetable shortening, then add the cold water and knead until a dough forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- For the filling, heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion, green onion, garlic, thyme, and pepper. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, then stir in the sauces, spices, and hot pepper. Finally, add the flour and cook for 15 minutes.
- Combine the mixture in a food processor, then transfer it back to the pan and cook for 5 minutes to allow it to set. Add some chopped green onions and raw onion.
- Remove the dough from the refrigerator and spread it out on a floured surface. Divide it into twelve portions and shape them into circles or squares. Place the filling on each, moisten the edges, fold over, and seal, then mark the edges with a fork and prick the top several times.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C for 20 minutes.
