Directions
- Gather all the ingredients. ≈ 3 min
- Bring the coconut milk to a boil, then remove it from the heat.
- Combine the glutinous rice flour, regular rice flour, cooked coconut milk, shredded coconut, and salt. ≈ 4 min
- Mix until a dough forms. ≈ 4 min
- Let the dough rest for a while, covered with a clean cloth.
- Take a small amount of dough and shape it into circles with a hole in the center, like donuts. Continue until all the dough is used. ≈ 10 min
- Heat the oil paint in a deep pan.
- Fry the doughnuts until they are cooked through and crispy.
- In a non-stick pan or pot, melt the palm sugar or granulated sugar, stirring until it thickens like caramel. Add the water to smooth the texture of the sauce.
- Place the fried jalabrias in the sauce and stir to coat them evenly. ≈ 4 min
- Remove them one by one and arrange them on a plate. ≈ 3 min
- Serve the jalabria. ≈ 2 min
