Directions
- In a bowl, combine all the dough ingredients and knead until a smooth, even dough is formed. ≈ 10 min
- Cover the bowl with a dishcloth and let the dough rise for an hour, until it has doubled in size. ≈ 3 min
- In the meantime, we combine the filling ingredients in a bowl. ≈ 3 min
- Roll the dough into narrow rolls, about 20 centimeters long, and tie a knot in each roll. ≈ 10 min
- Dip each slice of bread in the glaze mixture.
- We arrange the bread in a greased (or parchment-lined) baking dish, making sure not to let them stick together, and then bake them at a moderate temperature for about 15 minutes, until they are golden brown.
