Pierogi are traditional Polish dumplings that come in an endless variety of fillings. Here, we will prepare a fruit-filled version, perfect for a light and delicious dessert.

Directions
- Combine the flour, water, and egg to form a dough. ≈ 4 min
- Roll out the dough thinly and cut out 8 cm diameter circles using a cookie cutter. ≈ 8 min
- Wash, drain the fruits, and mix them with the breadcrumbs. ≈ 4 min
- Place a layer of filling on each pastry circle, then fold in half. ≈ 3 min
- Lightly moisten the edges of the dough with cold water and then press them together with your fingers to join them. ≈ 3 min
- Boil 2 liters of water with 1 tablespoon of oil paint.
- Place 5-6 pierogi in the boiling water at a time, gently stir with a wooden spoon, then cook for 2-3 minutes until they float to the surface.
- Use a skimmer to remove the pierogi, then drain them. ≈ 2 min
- Serve with melted butter or crème fraîche mixed with vanilla. ≈ 2 min
