These double-chocolate brownies are easy to make, with melted chocolate added to the batter and chocolate chips added at the end. Walnuts are optional.

Directions
- Take the eggs and butter out of the refrigerator 30 minutes beforehand so they are at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 165 °C.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, then set aside. ≈ 2 min
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and water. Heat just until simmering, then remove from the heat.
- Add half of the chocolate chips (170g) and the vanilla. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy, then pour it into a large mixing bowl. ≈ 4 min
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add the flour mixture. ≈ 4 min
- Add the remaining chocolate chips and walnuts, if you are using them. ≈ 3 min
- Spread the dough in a greased 23 cm square baking pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 165 °C.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares of approximately 6 cm.
