This chicken croquette dish is a delicious variation on the traditional Belgian appetizer. It’s easy to prepare and is perfect for an appetizer or a light meal.

Directions

  1. 1 loaf of wholemeal bread, sliced, and then these slices cut into small squares. ≈ 3 min
  2. Season to taste. ≈ 2 min
  3. Cut the chicken fillets into strips, pat them dry, and then coat them with sardine paste. ≈ 8 min
  4. Place a small sage leaf on each strap. ≈ 3 min
  5. In a separate dish, fry the small bread rolls in margarine, then insert the chicken rolls inside.
  6. Serve. ≈ 2 min

Before you start

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken breast fillets --
  • 1 loaf of white bread, sliced, and then these slices cut into small squares
  • 200 g of creamy margarine
  • 1 small can of sardine paste
  • 3 cups of chopped sage
  • seasoning to taste
  • Cut the chicken fillets into strips, pat them dry, and then brush them with sardine paste. Place a small sage leaf on each strip.
  • Secure with a toothpick
  • Fry them in margarine and set them aside.
  • In a separate dish, fry the small bread rolls in margarine, then insert the chicken rolls inside. Serve.

The screen stays on while cooking mode is open.
