Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
- In a large bowl, combine the butter and half of the sugar until you have a creamy consistency. ≈ 4 min
- Add the egg and milk; beat until everything is well combined. ≈ 4 min
- Reduce the speed to low. Add the flour, baking powder, anise seeds, and cinnamon; mix until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of 1.6 cm (0.6 inches). Cut out shapes using a 6.4 cm (2.5 inches) cookie cutter. ≈ 8 min
- In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon. ≈ 4 min
- Place one side of each biscuit into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Arrange them, spaced about 2.5 cm apart, with the sugar-coated side facing up, on greased baking sheets. ≈ 3 min
- Bake in the oven for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let it cool.
