Almond milk, also known as almond milk in German, is a beverage with a rich history and flavour. Originally used as an alternative to cow’s milk in times when refrigerators didn’t exist, almond milk is now appreciated for its mild taste and nutritional properties.

Directions
- Place the almonds in a clean dishcloth. ≈ 3 min
- Heat the milk with the almonds until it boils.
- Let it simmer over a very low flame for 20 minutes.
- Remove the almonds from the cream and dissolve the caramel in the remaining mixture. ≈ 3 min
- It might be helpful to add a little flour to thicken the mixture.
- Serve hot. ≈ 2 min
