Homemade French fries, cooked at 190 °C and seasoned with a barbecue spice blend, just as good as those you’d buy in a store.

These homemade chips are a match for any store-bought chips: thin slices of French-style Russet potatoes, fried at 190 °C, and seasoned with barbecue spices.

Directions

  1. Heat the oil paint to 190 °C.
  2. Dip the strips into the warm oil paint one at a time, in small batches, and fry for 4 to 5 minutes. Drain on a wire rack.
  3. When all the chips are French fries, generously sprinkle them with barbecue spices.
  4. Serve immediately. ≈ 2 min

  • 450 g of Russet apples, thinly sliced using a vegetable slicer
  • 2 tablespoons of barbecue spice blend
  • 1 liter of oil paint for frying
