Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar until the mixture is liquid and frothy. ≈ 4 min
- Add the softened butter. ≈ 3 min
- Mix the flour, cinnamon and baking powder. ≈ 4 min
- Gradually fold the flour-cinnamon-baking powder mixture into the bowl and mix until all the lumps are gone. ≈ 4 min
- Butter a tart pan and pour in the batter. ≈ 3 min
- Peel the pears, core them and cut them in half. ≈ 8 min
- Place the pear halves in the pan, in a single layer, at the bottom of the pan. ≈ 3 min
- Sprinkle the exposed part of the pears with the vanilla sugar. ≈ 2 min
- Bake for at least one hour at 155 °C (gas mark 5).
