These communion wafers are made with only two ingredients: water and flour. They cook quickly, on both sides, in a very hot oven.

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230 °C.
  2. Mix the water and flour in a bowl until you have a smooth dough. ≈ 10 min
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. ≈ 3 min
  4. Divide each portion into 4 smaller parts, resulting in a total of 16 portions. ≈ 3 min
  5. Roll each portion into a small ball. ≈ 10 min
  6. Flatten each ball into a thin disc. If you wish, draw a small cross on each wafer using a butter knife. ≈ 10 min
  7. Bake the communion wafers for 3 minutes.
  8. Remove them from the oven and return them to the pan using a spoon or spatula.
  9. Cook for another 3 minutes.
  10. Take them out of the oven and let them cool.
