Glögg is a traditional Scandinavian drink that is prepared during the holiday season. This version, made with an infusion, is easy to make and perfectly suited to the cold winter temperatures we experience in Belgium.

Directions

  1. Let the roots soak in vodka for 3 days.
  2. Drain the liquid, then mix it with the rest of the ingredients. ≈ 4 min
  3. Heat up.
  4. In small glasses, place some grapes and almonds. ≈ 3 min
  5. To be served during the holiday season, when the temperature drops below… ≈ 2 min
  6. You can also add some ginger. ≈ 3 min
  7. It is possible to omit the syrup and instead heat the mixture and pour it over sugar-coated ice cubes arranged on a metal grid.

  • 10 g of whole cardamom seeds
  • 10 g of whole peppercorns
  • 25 g of ground cinnamon
  • 1 liter of vodka
  • One bottle of dry, classic red wine
  • Half a bottle of cheaper port wine
  • Syrup made with 1/4 kg of sugar

  • 0.1 liter of brandy
  • Juice of half a lemon
