Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast. ≈ 4 min
- In a separate bowl, melt the butter, let it cool slightly, and then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk lightly. Gradually add the flour mixture and continue mixing until a smooth dough forms. Spread the dough evenly in a greased 28 cm diameter baking dish.
- Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into quarters. Arrange them in concentric circles on the pastry, with the flatter side facing down, close together, then continue in concentric circles until the entire surface is covered. Generously sprinkle with brown sugar. ≈ 8 min
- Bake in a preheated oven (180 °C) for approximately 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve chilled, in individual dessert plates. ≈ 2 min
