Directions
- Mix the crumbled yeast with warm milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar in a small bowl, and let it stand at room temperature.
- Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl and make a well in the center. Add the sugar, eggs, salt, melted and cooled butter, and the yeast. Then, mix with a mixer for at least 5 minutes, until a smooth dough forms.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place until the dough has noticeably doubled in size. Knead again at maximum speed, then briefly incorporate the almonds at medium speed.
- Grease the baking dish and line it with blanched almonds, then pour in the batter. Let it rise again in a warm place.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170-190 °C (with a fan-assisted function) for 45 to 50 minutes.
