Homemade grenadine is a syrup made from pomegranate juice and sugar, reduced over heat until it becomes thick like honey. You can mix it with water or sparkling water, or use it to add flavor to your cocktails.

Directions

  1. Pour in the pomegranate juice and sugar into a pot. ≈ 3 min
  2. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from the heat when the syrup thickens to the consistency of honey. ≈ 3 min
  4. Allow to cool before bottling.

  • 120 ml of pomegranate juice
  • 120 ml of granulated sugar
  • still water or sparkling water, to be used for dilution when serving
