The “banana and cream pie” is a simple and delicious dessert made with bananas and whipped cream. This recipe is inspired by the book “House of Beeton’s Book of Household Management” and has been adapted for the Belgian audience.

Directions

  1. Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until it reaches a firm consistency. ≈ 4 min
  2. Strain the bananas through a fine-mesh sieve into another bowl. Add the whipped cream and liqueur, then gently mix. ≈ 4 min
  3. Dissolve the gelatin in 1 tablespoon of warm water. Add the sugar, then, once it has cooled, gently mix with the cream mixture, adding food coloring drop by drop until you achieve a pale pink color.
  4.
