The basic recipe is quick: chopped parsley and onion, a little bread, then the ground beef, egg, spicy ketchup, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Shape it all into a loaf and bake it for 45 minutes.

The ketchup keeps it moist and adds a little kick.

Directions

  1. Chop the parsley and onion in a food processor.
  2. Add the bread in small cubes and pulse for a few seconds.
  3. Add the meat, salt, pepper, ketchup, egg and nutmeg, then pulse for 5 seconds.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf in a baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at 175 °C.
