Homemade gyro pitas, just like at the snack bar: pan-browned gyro meat, crunchy raw vegetables (grated carrot and red cabbage on Axelle's plate) and a white yogurt and garlic sauce.

The meat cooks for about 5 minutes in olive oil, the pita breads crisp up for a few minutes in the oven, and everyone fills their own at the table.

The sauce takes two minutes: Greek yogurt, very finely chopped garlic, salt, pepper and chives.
